In 2009 Cardiff City said goodbye to almost 100 years of history and traipsed across the Ninian Park car park to a shiny new home waiting for them on the other side. Whilst the new stadium offers better sightlines and comfort, many Cardiff fans feel it lacks some of the character and raw atmosphere of the old place.

One reminder of historic Ninian Park has been preserved, however, and memories come flooding back for many when spying the beautiful iron Memorial Gates, which I have recreated here in a minimalist style
